3 months old baby saved, Police recover weapons from bandits.

In Zamfara, police rescued a three-month-old baby and recovered advanced firearms from criminals.

This was revealed by the state’s Commissioner of Police, Ayuba Elkanah, during a press conference in Gusau on Wednesday.

He claimed the victims were kidnapped from Ruggar Tudu Village in Zamfara’s Bungudu Local Government Area.
Elkanah also revealed that police operatives apprehended three hard drug suppliers to bandits and collected certain goods from them.

One motorcycle, eight AK-47 rifles, one GPMG, one Rocket launcher, and five magazines are among the weapons.

The state police command has scored remarkable accomplishments in the ongoing battle against banditry, abduction, cattle rustling, and other crimes in Zamfara, according to the police commissioner, who gave an update on the police’s actions in the last four months.

In the last four months, police officers have also retrieved 69 cows from robbers, he claims.

Even as he restated the restriction on the usage of fireworks in Zamfara, he warned that anyone found guilty would not be spared by the police.

Elkana told the people that the police will collaborate with other authorities to guarantee adequate security in the state to ensure a hitch-free holiday season.
