President Muhammadu Buhari has joined family and friends in wishing Dr Christopher Kolade, Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, a happy 89th birthday.
Buhari congratulated the diplomat and academic, saying, “his integrity, intelligence, and experience have been placed many times at the service of the nation,” in a message released by his spokesperson, Mr Femi Adesina, on Monday in Abuja.
Kolade, according to the President, has left a legacy of brilliance and brought honor to the country wherever he has served.
The President praised the veteran broadcaster’s accomplishments in both the private and public sectors, citing his roles as Director-General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation and Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Cadbury Nigeria Ltd, respectively.
In addition, Kolade taught at the Lagos Business School.
Buhari wished Kolade good health so that he might continue to share his vast expertise.
