Covid-19: 21 citizens dies on Christmas day.

According to the Nigerian government, the deadly COVID-19 virus killed 21 Nigerians on Christmas Day, bringing the total death toll to almost 3,000.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, 21 persons died of coronavirus on December 25th, Christmas Day.

This was announced in the NCDC’s daily bulletin, which was posted early Sunday.

According to the NCDC, the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country has climbed to 3,014.

On Saturday, the center reported 1,305 new cases of COVID-19, with 705 new cases in Lagos.

With the additional infections, the overall number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has risen to 236,014.

NCDC said, “On the 25th of December 2021, 1305 new confirmed cases and 21 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

“Till date, 236014 cases have been confirmed, 212357 cases have been discharged and 3014 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“The 1305 new cases are reported from 14 States – Lagos (705), Oyo (234), Ondo (88), Kaduna (79), Rivers (78), Ogun (30), Anambra (25), Kano (24), Enugu (12), Ekiti (11), Jigawa (6), Osun (6), Plateau (6) and Zamfara (1).

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre, activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
