Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, the Governor of Ondo State, has ordered the immediate closure of Mai Asubahi Night Club and GidanBarau in the state’s Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area.
Richard Olatunde, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, announced this in a statement on Tuesday.
He said the closure was necessary because neighbors were getting concerned about the criminal activities of the Zamfara guys, a gang that specializes in peddling hard drugs/illicit substances and underage commercial sex hawking.
According to him, the Governor also directed the Commander of the state chapter of the Western Nigeria Security Network, codenamed Amotekun, to mobilize personnel as soon as possible to carry out the mandate.
