Former basketball international, Samuel Oguche has revealed that he is pushing for Mark Mentors owner Igoche Mark to become the next NBBF president because he wants him to continue building on his achievements as a key basketball stakeholder.
“We have achieved a lot when it comes to basketball in Nigeria with record-breaking feats with his privately owned club called the Mark Mentors.”
According to him, Igoche Mark has been one of the biggest stakeholders in the development of basketball and sports in Nigeria.
“Igoche has taken domestic basketball to a height that needs to be sustained without any support from anybody.”
He said Igoche Mark’s accomplishments in the sport are there for all to see.
“If you got love for the game you want to see it grow and he is doing just that. I know he is the right person for that position for sure.”
Samuel Oguche who is the owner of Sam Oguche Basketball Foundation stressed that the right person to have as the president of the Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF) is Igoche Mark because he is the one that can salvage the sport.
“All we ever want is for the players to play and we have the right person in IG mark, he cares and loves basketball and this is what we need because he is someone who loves basketball.”
He buttressed that, Igoche Mark encourages people like him to come back home and do what they do for the game.
