Kumuyi Preaches Peace At Osinbanjo’s Praise Concert.

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, preached peace in keeping with the Christmas message.

Kumuyi was speaking in the Presidential Villa’s Banquet Hall during the annual Christmas Praise Concert, which was sponsored by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and held on Monday night to mark the Christmas season.

‘The Vice President hosts his annual Christmas worship event as Pastor Kumuyi preaches peace to the nation,’ said Laolu Akande, the Vice President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the priest that delivered it, the Christmas sermon was about “divine revelation, divine realisation, and the glory of the destined restoration that Christ brought to the world.”

In his sermon, Kumuyi talked about the story of the anticipated expectation, the song of heavenly visitation, the symphony of delectable rejoicing, and the sanctity of faithful proclamation.

The guest preacher gave a sermon about how angels come to earth to provide joy and peace (both personal and eternal), citing Scriptures, especially the Gospels.

“The message is an angel’s announcement from on high to meet us, this nation, and every nation in the world at this time until Christ returns,” he explained.

“There is the irreversible decree that the Saviour will come,” he continued, “and when we believe in Him, the decree is fulfilled in our life,” as well as “the irresistible dominion that God has remembered us… by giving us a saviour.”

“It is a good thing to offer thanks unto the Lord, to proclaim His lovingkindness in the morning, and His faithfulness every night,” said the State House Chaplain, Pastor Joseph Malomo, who led a brief special prayer for Nigeria and her leaders from the Psalms.

“We thank God for bringing us to the end of this year, as well as for the fact that we were unable to physically gather last year.” As a result, the fight against COVID-19 is now officially concluded. By God’s grace, COVID-19 will be history someday,” he prayed.

Mercy Chinwo and Ernest Dades, as well as choirs from several geographical zones across the country, performed at the Carol service.

Among the choral groups that performed at the old Presidential Banquet Hall were the Kaduna Metropolitan Choir, Kaduna State; Unity Choir, Yola, Adamawa State; De Avon Chorale and Orchestra, Cross River State; Royal City Chorale, Owerri, Imo State; Lagos City Chorale, and the Hallelujah Nigeria African Carol.

The Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa; the Head of the Federal Civil Service, Folashade Yemi-Esan; the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Leonard; and the Tor Tiv, Prof. James Ayatse, from Gboko, Benue State, read selected Scriptures.

The annual Praise Concert was canceled in 2020 because to the COVID-19 epidemic and its consequences.
