Ikefe Scoops Fidelis Ilechukwu Player of the Month Award

Solid rock Plateau United defender, Ikefe Andrew has won the October edition of the Fidelis Ilechukwu Player of the Month award following his superb form in the month.

Ikefe became the second defender to go home with the award after Daniel Itodo who claimed the inaugural award initiated by former MFM FC and Heartland coach.

The essence of the award by Ilechukwu is to reward a Plateau United player for his exceptional performance every month.

Ikefe, a former Niger Tornadoes centre-back was in dazzling form for the Jos team before and during the Unity Pre-Season Tournament held in Abuja.

He helped the former Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) team to win its first pre-season tourney scoring the only goal that proved to be the winner against last season FA Cup runner-up Nasarawa United.

A delighted Ikefe thanked his teammates and coaches for the award and promised to help the club achieve its set goals in the coming season which is expected to officially kick off on December 17.
